Is a loop-powered solenoid/alarm driver designed for use in hazardous areas. It enables devices located in these areas to be controlled from a safe area. The module is certified for use in Zone 0, IIC, T4–6 hazardous areas, and Div. 1, Group A hazardous locations. It operates with a supply voltage of 20–35V DC and can drive a certified intrinsically safe low-power load, such as an LED. The output voltage ranges from 13.6V at 48mA to 24V from 180Ω, with a current limit of 48mA. The module features a yellow LED indicator that shows output status and has a maximum current consumption of 90mA at 24V. It has a power dissipation within the unit of 1.4W at 24V and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. The MTL5521 is certified with ATEX and IECEx approvals, ensuring its suitability for explosive atmospheres.
